4th Annual Warfighter Challenge

Warfighter is an exceptionally challenging event not intended for beginners. The American Pioneer Corps annual Warfighter Challenge is not a training event, but a test of physical and mental endurance, teamwork, leadership and technical skills.

The 2023 Warfighter Challenge will test competitors with a variety of challenges. A minimum gear list will be published and provided to competitors 60 days in advance. Events will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • 12 mile timed ruck w/min 35lbs dry weight plus weapon

  • Land Navigation Day/Night

  • Mobility/Counter Mobility Pioneer/Sapper Skills

  • Small Unit Leadership

  • Small Arms Competition

Preparation

This event requires significant individual preparation. All competitors will be mentally and physically exhausted by completion. Competitors must complete the ruck in less than 4 hours or they may be removed from the event by the director on consultation with event staff.

All competitors are responsible for completing their own pre-event physical with their medical provider. Competitors should be free of any medical conditions which would be adversely affected by exposure to CS gas.

Entry

Entrance eligibility is limited to persons rated as a Pioneer Candidate 3rd Class or above, members or veterans of the armed forces (to include reserve components and ROTC), and public safety personnel (police, fire, and EMS). All other entry requests require approval and will be waitlisted pending space availability.

This event requires no entry fee.
